A Midlands Conservative MP, Mark Pritchard, has selected
text-connect as a new communications
tool in his fight to save local hospital services.
The local NHS trust has accumulated £30 million of
debt and is running at a multi-million pound deficit
each year. The trust is now subject to a public consultation
on the future of its' services.
Fearing the loss of jobs and services at the Trust,
the local MP has launched a petition to save the hospital
and is using text-connect to update campaigners
on threats to the hospital and on his actions to save
it.
SMS text updates are easy to set-up using text-connect,
which makes it simple to upload contact information
& numbers from a spreadsheet or database. The message
takes seconds to draft and send and can be personalised
for each recipient.
Texts can be pre-scheduled to send at a specific
time but arrive almost instantly on the campaigners
phone, making text-connect ideal for
disseminating urgent or time critical information.
Mr Pritchard said: "There are many ways to communicate
with constituents but text communication is increasingly
more popular. It is important that people have access
to information on how they can help protect and enhance
their communities and Text-Connect are assisting me
in that endeavour".
No hardware or software needs be installed as text-connect
is web based and can be accessed from any computer
with an Internet connection.
Our client selected our 'Sales and Marketing' package.
