Send text messages as email from ANY email software using Text-Connect™.

The Text-Connect™ email to text function works independently of your email software, meaning that it works with all the popular email software, including Eudora, AOL, Mozilla Thunderbird, Outlook and Outlook Express, whatever your chosen operating system, Mac, PC, Linux or Unix. . . . .

Your email is routed to the Text-Connect™ server where it is converted to a text message and sent to the number you give as part of the 'To:' email address. Delivery of your text message is almost instant.

Text-Connect™ 'email to text' is ideal for adding text message alerts to critical applications that have access to the Internet, including UPS power supply monitoring, server status, and alerts from other monitoring equipment.

Email to text is simple to use:

Simply enter the recipients number in the 'To:' box in the following format:

447781472088@emailsms.text-connect.co.uk

where 07781472088 is the number you wish to to send the text to. Text messages that have been forwarded to your email address are automatically formatted so that you simply press 'Reply'.

In the 'subject' box type who the text is from, or if you would like the recipient to reply, type your Text-Connect™ text Number'. Both should no longer than 11 characters.

The actual message goes where you would usually type your email messages and should be in plain text. Prefix the message with your User Name and Password:

The 1st line of your message needs to be your user name.

The 2nd line should be your password with your actual message starting on line 3. Your message can be up to 160 characters.

Once you press send, the email is routed to our Text-Connect™ server and forwarded as an SMS text message to the number in your email 'To' line.

IMPORTANT:

• emails MUST be plain text with no signatures.
• the subject line should be no longer than 11 characters.

text to email:

Forward your incoming messages to your email address(es) using text forwarding. This function is set-up via your Text-Connect™ 'web mail' account and gives you the ability to distribute an incoming message to many email addresses, mobile numbers or HTTP address.

A copy of all incoming messages are stored in your 'web-mail' inbox until you delete them, with outgoing message content, including those sent from email, available via built in Text-Connect™ reporting functions.
